Virginia & Color Blocks

This portfolio is based on local animals seen while hiking around the state. My pieces combine strong styles of brush strokes with bold vibrant backgrounds to highlight the critters I see and draw your eyes to the paintings. I paint directly onto the glass, building the paintings layer by layers. All my pieces are painted onto repurposed frames found at local thrift stores.
